We are launching our Saturday tasting hour this week with one of our old favourites, The Chilli Jam Man!
We first discovered this Yorkshire based company at a local food festival, and we loved them so much they were one of the first ranges to be stocked when we opened. We've had them on the shelves ever since and they have somewhat of a cult following!
There are a lot of chilli jams out there, but we think The Chilli Jam Man makes some of the best and most versatile. They are good and hot, but are also packed with flavour. As with most chilli jams, these are a fantastic accompaniment to cold meats and cheeses. Unlike most others they are also fantastic cooking ingredients! The Original Chilli Jam combines chilli, garlic and ginger and makes a great addition to any stir fry or casserole. The Garlic Chilli Jam is amazing added to a slow-cooked beef chilli, adding a fantastic depth of flavour. Everyone loves pulled pork at the moment, but trust me, you'll love it even more if it's been rubbed in Garlic Chilli Jam before cooking. Delicious, rich, sticky and spicy! Want to go the whole hog with your pulled pork? Make your own BBQ sauce using 2 parts Smoky Chilli Jam, 2 parts ketchup and 1 part black treacle - amazing!!!!
