We are a locally owned independent wine reseller and food hall located on the main street, with parking available directly outside. Our store was established in Frodsham nearly 10 years ago and we have developed what we sell and what we serve in store.

We also produce our own ‘Frodsham Gin’ which captures the essence of Frodsham available in 2 varieties, London dry Gin or Raspberry infused, both using locally sourced products.

Independent Wines and spirits Selection

Our wine and spirit selection is one of the most interesting and eclectic you will find anywhere in the region. We've chosen to focus on smaller wine makers from various countries and we stock a number of wines that are not widely available in the UK. Have a look at our pages about our favourite New Zealand winery Riverby Estate, whose Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has a huge following in our stores! We have thoroughly taste tested every wine in store to bring you different and interesting wines from old and new worlds to open up new worlds for you to explore!

Our spirit selection will leave you thoroughly spoilt for choice, with over eighty different types of whisky and an enviable range of gin - as well as an interesting collection of obscure spirits. We also stock a number of North West artisan gins and produce our very own Frodsham gin which is made locally using locally sourced ingredients.

Fine Food Hall and Delcatessen

Our award-winning delis are the ultimate home of foodie delight and wonder! We explore the world of food and drink and bring it all together in a no-nonsense fashion so that you can do the same. We find you things that are different and import it ourselves, from food and drink you simply won't find anywhere else in the UK to a whole host of locally produced goodies that we find by visiting artisan markets and by customer recommendation.

You will also find locally roasted coffee, cured meats, a long list of British and European cheeses, oils and vinegars, all sorts of fascinating dry goods and groceries and an epic confectionery selection.

Monthly tastings

We have a busy Events Calendar with 2 tasting arranged each month, from our own regular wine tastings and food sampling evenings, to special wine tastings hosted by wine-makers who come from all over the world to see us! Our tastings are quite informal and friendly and are our opportunity to put our wines and our food on show. You can also buy the products we showcase at the tastings at a discounted rate.

Evening Drinks

We are open later on a Friday and Saturday evening until 9pm, serving a selection of drinks or you can choose a bottle from our shelves. We also serve sharing boards made of cheese, Charcuterie and many other wonderful things we stock in store. Not forgetting our famous cheese straws...one served with every drink...

Sunday Brunch

Our Whitmore Sunday brunch is served on the first Sunday of Each month and is prepared by our own Chef - this is a Whitmore treat not to be missed…

A hand picked menu of dishes along with a special drinks list…the perfect way to start any Sunday – Bookings are advised.

Hampers and gifting

We have a selection of prepared hampers, or you can build your own choosing anything from our store and we will prepare in store, perfect for any occasion. We can also have them delivered to anywhere in the UK.

Frodsham’s best secret garden

Not only do we have the original secret garden, but we have Frodsham’s best secret garden – at the back of the store amongst the greenery of our garden. The perfect place to enjoy peace and quiet with a Whitmore coffee or maybe something a little stronger from our drinks list.
