Foodie Travels - The South of France

It's the end of October, so before the Christmas chaos kicks in, Jamie and I decided to take a last minute foodie break, and Nice seemed like the perfect place to grab some Winter sun. But at Whitmore & White we're all foodies at heart, which means we can't go anywhere without having a mooch around the local delis, bakeries and wine shops!

Too Grown Up For Paddington!

I was so excited to try the new Montserrat Marmalade and Blueberry & Apple Jam made in-store by Whitmore & White, as the collaboration of minds behind them are the epitome of great taste and quality. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day - well it just got a whole lot better!

Coffee, Beans, Blends & Beautiful Brews!

Here at Whitmore & White our coffee has got quite a following, its fruity and nutty characteristics, long lingering finish and subtle acidity make it the perfect espresso blend for any cup of coffee.  Where as before you would have to pop in store and have one of our expert baristas make you a cup of this fine coffee, we are very excited to announce you can now pick up a bag to take home!

And breathe.... Well that was a busy week!!

It's always pretty manic here at Whitmore & White, but last week has to rate as one of our busiest yet! The usual busyness in the stores, combined with a few firsts - including a 1st birthday! So what's been going on I hear you cry! Well, if you follow our social media you will have had a taste of what we've been up to. Here's a quick summary€¦

Having A Rum Time

Think of rum and you'll be forgiven for having visions of Caribbean pirates guzzling the sugary grog by the barrel full, and sailors giving the one-legged swashbucklers a run for their money.

Relish The Thought

The quintessentially British barbecue consists of back-up umbrellas, wasps, inappropriate aprons and the over-eager use of lighter fluid.  But we love them just the same; here are some suggestions to make your BBQ the talk of the Summer.

It's Father's Day - Ale Drink to That!

So, I've just searched for 'Father's Day presents' in Google for some inspiration. Quite frankly I was shocked at what appeared before me. Not sure my dad would appreciate sandal socks, a personalised compass, face beer mats or a self stirring mug? I can guarantee that presents like these would find a way to the back of a cupboard or in the bin, harsh but true.

Sweet Dreams are Made of Cheese€¦

Don't worry, I will go Caerphilly with the cheese puns, i don't want them to grate on you. Its fair to say that one of the most exciting things about coming to Whitmore & White was the cheese offering from powerful Munster to rich Perl Las, our cheeses are some of the best that Great Britain and Europe have to offer. here are my top 5.

Celebrity Drinking Buddy - Who Would You choose?

We've all been asked this question, 'which celebrities would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?'
