Relish The Thought

Relish The Thought

The quintessentially British barbecue consists of back-up umbrellas, wasps, inappropriate aprons and the over-eager use of lighter fluid. But we love them just the same; here are some suggestions to make your BBQ the talk of the Summer. Keen as Mustard We have three French Edmond Fallot mustards to choose from; wholegrain, dijon and tarragon. Founded in 1840, the quality of the mustard from this independent and family run mill in Burgundy remains outstanding. Our other incredibly tasty French classic is Moutarde de Meaux Pommery from the oldest producers of mustard in France. A little closer to home and we have a great English classic that certainly delivers, try Le Mesurier Wholegrain English Mustard with meat or spread on your favourite sandwich - scrummy. Get Saucy Stonewall Kitchen produces an amazing Spicy Corn Relish. This traditional recipe is the perfect complement to grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, fish or chicken. It's also wonderful served with crispy tortilla chips and burritos. Our 5-Star Texan Barbecue Sauce from D L Jardines is prepared especially for those who want only the best. We sell a range of Stokes sauces. They advertise their sauces as 'Food Made Better', and they really do live up to this bold statement. Who can resist their Tomato Ketchup, Bloody Mary Ketchup, Chilli Ketchup, Brown Sauce or Original Barbecue Sauce? My favourite has to be from the quirkily named Foraging Fox. I just love their Beetroot Ketchup - you really need to try their Smoked Beetroot Ketchup too! We've Got Wine, Fizz, Beer & Cider These are the words we long to hear when we turn up at a friend's house. Here at Whitmore & White we've got all this and more. Pop in and have a chat with Tom, Simon, Graham or Katie, our resident wine and drink experts from Cheshire and the Wirral - they'll suggest what goes best with your chosen BBQ menu. We look forward to seeing you soon, Mandi
