TASTING NOTE

A classic brick-garnet Rioja. The bottle ageing of this wine results in reducing aromas which are transformed into red fruit and liquorice hints when the wine comes into contact with the air. These aromas develop into the typical dairy, balsamic and spicy notes of rioja which has undergone a long ageing in new oak.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Vallemayor S.L. is a family bodega located in Fuenmayor, at the heart of Rioja Alta, where it has 60 hectares of estate-owned vineyards plus another 60 hectares of vineyards owned by local growers who habitually supply the company, over which the bodega exercises direct control (determining tending schedules and treatments).

At their facilities they bring together the most modern technology with traditional values to achieve wines that historically have been, and today continue to be, the ultimate form of expression of the region. Their ageing hall holds 3,000 new 225 litre barrels, of which 50% are made of French oak and 50% of American oak.
