TASTING NOTE

A limited-edition crianza made from the best bunches of Tempranillo grapes and aged for 18 months

Attractive and elegant on the nose, with prominent aromas of red fruit – cherry – with minerality and a slight sweetness in the background. Herbal notes appear too – mostly camomile – along with sweet spices and nuts (almond).

Very fruity and sweet on the palate with prominent flavours of chocolate and vanilla, sweet tannins and balanced acidity that delivers great freshness on the palate.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

In the Basque region of Northern Spain there is an old tradition of 'Gastronomic Societies', where men with a passion for food and for wine meet to cook, eat and drink. One such group of friends firmly believed they could produce fine wines to complement their culinary skills. The result: Bodegas Beronia, named after the Berones, a warring Celtic tribe who inhabited the area in the 3rd Century BC .

In 1982 Gonzalez Byass purchased the Bodega and as such, Beronia has grown to become one of the most popular Riojas in Spain.
