Bright ruby red colour. Nose is pleasantly vinous with aromas of cherries, spice and pepper. The palate is full and well rounded with notes of blackberry, redcurrant and spice. The tannins are full bodied and the finish is long.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Grapes are hand harvested from estate vineyards in Calosso and Agliano Terme. With a south west facing exposure the grapes have no problem ripening during the growing season. Once in the winery, the grapes are destemmed and macerated on their skins for 10 - 12 days. After this, the fruit is racked and then malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 4 - 5 months. The resulting wine is racked again and bottled before cellaring prior to release
