A precise English sparkling rosé from Essex, this wine is a collaboration between two Masters of Wine, Liam Stevenson and John Atkinson. After years of international winemaking experience, they returned to England to produce a wine that reflects the character and potential of one of the country’s most exciting regions. Essex’s long, dry summers and well-drained soils provide an ideal climate for ripening Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, two noble varieties blended here in equal focus. Grapes are hand-harvested, whole-cluster pressed and fermented in a combination of stainless steel and seasoned oak barriques to preserve purity and texture. Secondary fermentation occurs in bottle following the traditional Champagne method, with brief lees ageing to retain the vibrant fruit while adding subtle complexity. The result is a structured yet expressive rosé with both finesse and depth, suitable for sophisticated food pairings or celebratory occasions.
