Believe it or not it's summer! We can't promise you great weather, but we can bring you the taste of Provence. Our range of Aix&terra jams are inspired by the Provençal sunny way of life. We're confident you will love them as much as we do. A Real Gem A friend of ours, a self-confessed Francophile, was busting to tell us about his find on his return home from Provence. He discovered this gem by chance. Aix&terra lovingly make their jams in a beautiful rustic building draped with floor to ceiling windows. It's a place impossible to walk past. From these windows you can observe the jam-makers at work using local, fresh ingredients. Located next to the open kitchen is a friendly restaurant where you can enjoy their creative culinary delights. This meal was the highlight of his visit to Provence. Lucky for us, there is a shop on site. Several jars of sweet and savoury preserves were brought back for us to try; we could understand the excitement - the contents were amazing! Lucky For You We contacted Aix&terra and were delighted to discover that although they do not have distribution in the UK we were able to stock their gorgeous products if we imported them directly. We decided it was well worth the extra effort! Aix&terra's Inspiration It all started in 2010 when Marina and Richard Alibert fell in love with a small shop selling colourful handmade products in Place Richelme. An area renowned for its farmers' market, gourmet heritage and lazy outdoor lunches. The couple purchased the store and their vision began. Aix&terra reawakened traditional Provençal recipes using a variety of seasonal products supplied to them by local farmers and producers. Provence has a Mediterranean climate of dry summers, mild winters and an abundance of sunshine; perfect conditions for their mouthwatering ingredients. Lemons from Menton, figs from Solliès, melons from Cavaillon, almonds from Valensole and olives from Nyons. Sweet Treats Nestled alongside our range of jams and pickles you can find jars of Aix&terra bursting with flavour. We're proud to stock our favourites.
