Made using the Viura (Macabeo) grape and fermented in stainless steel, this wine is as fresh as a daisy. Notes of elderflower, freshly cut grass and honeysuckle combine with crisp acidity to give a perfectly balanced white Rioja.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Based in Fuenmayor in the Rioja Alta region, the Foncea family run this Bodega and produce an impressive range of Riojas. From Blanco, through Rosado to Gran Reserva, the key phrase is 'quality and value'. The grapes harvested from the 55 ha of vineyards (mainly Tempranillo) are fermented in stainless steel and those requiring ageing are done so in a combination of French and American oak 225 litre casks.
