TASTING NOTE

A perfect mid-week white wine. A fresh and vibrant nose of elderflower and ripe summer lemons which follow onto the palate. Crisp, with hints of vanilla and cream soda, but with a good mineral element to balance the elderflower and citrus.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

The Torre del Falasco wines are the standard bearer of the Cantina di Valpantena co-operative. Based northeast of Verona in the foothills of the Dolomites, with 700 hectares of land under vine, this is one of Italy's best co-operatives.

The Garganega grapes come from the steeply terraced vineyards. They are picked slightly later than normal and are fermented cool in stainless steel to retain the fresh and vibrant style of the grape. After fermentation, half of the wine is matures in oak barrels to give some body to the finished wine.
