Goats do Roam - The Goatfather (South Africa)
A big customer favourite in store at W&W, this is full bodied with robust notes of black fruit and parma-violets on the nose. The palate is rich and dense with brooding black fruit compote and peppery oak notes.
Strange Bru Ruby Cabernet (South Africa)
Ruby Cabernet is a crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan designed in the 1940s to combine Cabernet characteristics with Carignan productivity and drought resistant qualities. It's simple, honest, bright, vibrant and youthful wine, full of red and black fruit and perfect with anything meaty!
Casa Silva Reserva Carmenere (Chile)
This has the blackcurrant nature of Cabernet Sauvignon, the spicy nature of Shiraz and the plum-like nature of Merlot all wrapped up in a single grape. A fantastic wine for the price.
Cusumano Merlot (Italy)
Dark violet-red in colour. This Merlot is soft and silky on the palate, leaving warm flavours of plums, wild berries and liquorice.
Beronia Rioja Crianza (Spain)
A Rioja with bags of style. Lashings of ripe redcurrant and strawberry fruit all smothered in vanilla cream. The palate is smooth and rich with finely tuned tannins and a lengthy finish.
Vigneti del Salento I Muri Primitivo (Italy)
This is another staff favourite here at W&W. This is a black-ruby red with violet undertones. On the nose are red berry aromas with subtle hints of warm spice. Full-bodied with pert tannins, this is a well balanced wine with plenty of ripe dark red fruit flavours.
Ô d'Yeuses Rouge (France)
Deep in colour, the nose has ripe, rich aromas of blackcurrants and blueberries with hints of rose petals and mint. The palate is full and silky smooth, with lashings of juicy, concentrated blackberry and black cherry, hints of spice and well balanced tannins on the velvety finish. Perfect with a mouth-watering rib of beef!
Don Cristobal 1492 Malbec Rosé (Argentina)
A rosé made from the malbec grape. This is a dry rosé but full of red berry fruit aromas, crisp and delicious when served chilled.
Delheim Pinotage Rosé (South Africa)
Delheim's ever-popular Pinotage Rosé (the first of its kind to be produced in South Africa in 1976) has aromas of pomegranate, cranberry with floral notes. Delicate flavours of juicy red berry fruit linger on the palate and add to the freshness of the wine.
Ribbonwood Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand)
This wine delivers classic Marlborough characteristics of grapefruit peel, ripe gooseberry, herb, capsicum and a stony minerality.
Simonsig Chenin Blanc (South Africa)
Simonsig Chenin Blanc was the first wine released by founder Frans Malan in 1968. This versatile variety appeals with fresh fruit flavours and is reaching new levels of popularity worldwide.
Casa Silva Reserva Viognier (Chile)
Pale straw hue and as fresh as a daisy! Not cloying like many Viogniers can be. There is peach and apricot fruit all backed up by a zippy acid backbone giving the wine structure and character.
