Dry in style but with an aroma of sweetness, this wine is full of honey, ripe peaches and nectarines on the nose. At first the palate has that ripe, stone fruit character too, but then comes the change - the wine dries on the palate with balanced acidity and a dried apricot finish.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Producing wines under the 'Tapiz' name, the winery was originally built in 1999 when the Californian wine company, Kendall-Jackson expanded into Argentina. After four years the winery was purchased by Fincas Patagonicas who decided to take the Tapiz wines away from primarily the US market, to more of an international market. America's loss is our gain we feel.
This is one of the most technologically advanced wineries in Argentina. With 140 ha of vineyards to choose from in Mendoza and Cafayate, at elevations between 880 - 1400 metres, combined with different soil types, it allows for a great range of wines, each showing the best varietal character.
Under the consultation of John Claude Berrouet, the former winemaker at Château Petrus, these wines have a great future.
