This is a blend of Tempranillo (95%) and Graciano (5%) sourced from La Pasada vineyard in the Sierra de Yerga at 800 metres altitude, and La Nave, a plot in the Siete Caminos at the foot of Monte Yerga at 450m. These vineyards are around 30 years old with poor soils of a sandy-loam texture and a variety of aspects and vine training systems in use. The grapes are harvested by hand, beginning with the Tempranillo. They undergo a three selection process - firstly in the vineyard, then when they are received at the winery and finally on a sorting table - before vinification begins. After a long maceration at controlled temperature the wine spends 24 months in American and French oak, with medium toast (both used and new), followed by 24 months in bottle before release.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"half makefullwidth\"\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"title\"\u003eTasting notes\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAromas of bramble fruit with spice and lightly floral notes. On the palate plum and ripe blackberry fruit flavours combine with ample acidity, minerality and earthy notes.
