TASTING NOTE

Notes of redcurrants and raspberries on the nose with subtle oak nuances. The palate is elegant and balanced with red fruit notes and smooth tannins leading to a lengthy finish.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Produced under the Martin Codax banner this wine from Bierzo, a wine region lying just inland from Galicia in the north west of Spain, is made from the indigenous Mencia grape from 80 year old vines.

Fermentation is in stainless steel vats ann the wine is then transferred to oak barrels for a couple of months before botting to maintain the fresh fruit characteristics and to give some body to the wine as well.
