Tasting Note

A nose of honey and butterscotch layered with light fruits (peaches & apricots), a hint of marzipan. The palate has strong notes of tannin-rich malt, oils and dark sugar with lots of spice and caramelised Seville orange marmalade. A long and resinous finish features dark red fruits and a hint of treacle.

About the producer

The desire to reflect the natural beauty of North Cotswolds and honour its heritage runs through everything The Cotswolds Distillery do. They use local raw materials, traditional kit and techniques, and partner up with other independent producers in the area as much as possible.

Cotswold Single Malt Whisky is made from grain to glass right in their distillery. They use local barley, which is mashed and fermented for four days before being distilled twice in their bespoke copper pot stills. It is then aged in premium ex-bourbon and reconditioned red wine casks before being blended and bottled in the distillery.
