Veuve Clicquot
TASTING NOTE
Veuve Clicquot's Yellow Label is the Flagship Champagne of the House. It is made up of a blend of grapes from 50 to 60 different Crus to ensure the consistency of the house style. The colour is golden-yellow, with aromas of yellow and white fruits, vanilla and toasty brioche leading to a palate of fine bubbles with a robust acidity and a streak of minerality. Perfectly balanced and delicious!
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The House of Veuve Clicquot was established in 1772. However, it was in 1805 when Madame Clicquot took over the business following the death of her husband that the business really began to increase its success. She was responsible for the production of the first recorded vintage champagne as well as the invention of the riddling table, a technique used to guarantee crystal clear wines which is still in use today. She became known as the "Grand Dame of Champagne".
The House remains true to its heritage to this day, with its motto being the same as ever: "Only one quality: the finest".
