Nick has inhabited the world of wine for so long that Bacchus and Dionysus probably asked him for advice! Nick is older than most of the vines that produce the grapes,that make the amazing wines on our shelves. His roots too go deep! Nick spent 8 years in France with his better half Laura, where they owned and ran a couple of Bar/Restaurants and his love of the European epicurean culture is deep seated. He has also spent a lot of time in Italy and counts as friends so many winemakers and restauranteurs, that he’ll never have to pay for a glass of wine or a meal for the rest of his life!

Nick created and taught a Wine Education Course for Liverpool City council for 5 years,has acted as a consultant for Michelin starred restaurants and has hosted so many tastings he’s lost count! Come in and he will share his passion for both food and wine and will take your taste buds on the most interesting journey they’ve ever been on!

Events

We usually have a busy calendar of events here in Chester but for now they are all on hold. Whether you're looking for a wine tasting, gin tasting, whisky tasting or Champagne, we host an array of different tastings all year. We are regularly visited by wine importers and producers from all over the world who host tastings with us, and we always take the opportunity to show off our fantastic food alongside our wine! Well, why wouldn't we?

    We're thrilled to tell you that our award-winning Cava producer and huge customer favourite Vilarnau has launched a pioneering organic, vegan, alcohol free fizz! Vilarnau is located in San Sadurní d’Anoia, close to Barcelona.
