Mixed Case Wine. How do you buy your wine? Do you grab a quick bottle on the way home from work? Do you pick a few up with the weekly shopping? Are you a member of an online wine club and have a case delivered every month? There are of course no rights or wrongs to buying wine, but what can we do for you on the Mixed Case front? Here at Whitmore and White we have always offered a selection of wines by the case of 6 or 12, in-store and online. We've kept on our popular "Favourite Reds/Whites" and "Easy Drinking 6/12" but in the lead up to this Christmas, we've decided to add a few new cases to the range to give you more of a choice. In this blog I will give you a brief overview of three of the new mixed cases. Christmas Six - Mixed Case Wine Here we're essentially taking you through Christmas Day, albeit vinously. So there's the Vilarnau Cava to start the day, Ribbonwood Sauvignon Blanc to have as a pre-prandial drink, Charles Smith Eve Chardonnay, Domaine Gayda en Passant Rouge and Beronia Rioja Reserva to have with the main meal and Quinta do Noval Ruby Port to finish off with. Vegan Six - Mixed Case Wine Here are six wines which have been produced from grape to bottle with no introduction of animal based products. Two deliciously mineral wines from two hemispheres; a Pouilly Fume from the Loire Valley in France and an Australian Riesling. Then there is a light and juicy Blauer Zweigelt from Austria, a dark and earthy Nero d'Avola from Sicily (which goes tremendously well with our Truffle Pecorino by the way) and finishing off with a delightfully fun Bobal from Spain. Top 10 under £10 - Mixed Case Wine No need to go through each wine individually here. This is a list which will change throughout the year (so keep on checking) of our ten best selling wines under the £10 price point. Some wines will always be in this list because they are that good but some will come and some will go. We are always looking out for interesting wines to add to our range which we can sell to our customers at sensible prices and £10 is a good benchmark to set. So there you have it. No filler No nonsense. No mad subscription! Just great wine at great prices. The only boring part is the box. Unless, of course, you're a cat. Until next time, Graham
