The rapidly changing situation in relation to the Coronavirus COVID19 outbreak has led Joe and I to think about how we can continue to serve our customers through this difficult period, as well as protect our business from the worst of the economic impact. We have therefore decided to start delivering to the areas around our Heswall and Frodsham shops from 18th March 2020. This will be a free service covering the areas shown below in pink, roughly speaking.
As a small business, we don't have the infrastructure to roll this out on any scale, so it's just us and Walter (he's the van) and you may have to bear with us as we work out the logistics of getting orders out to you. We will endeavour to do our best. At present we're going to do deliveries on a Thursday and Friday to get things going, but we will do more days if the demand is there.
I am sure I don't need to explain to anyone what a madly challenging time this is for businesses like ours, and all we can ask for is the ongoing support of our customers and we can't thank those of you who regularly shop with us enough for making sure we're still here on the other side of this bewildering turn of events.
So where will we deliver to?
I've coloured in some maps below as a rough guide to our delivery area we think we can service.
How do you order?
You can order here online (we would prefer this), or by phone using the following numbers:
At checkout online, please select "Free Local Delivery" as your delivery option.
When will it arrive?
The following Thursday or Friday.
Can I still collect in store?
Yes, just pick the option at checkout.
What if I am outside the pink boundary on the map?
You can still order as usual for delivery by Parcelforce using the "Standard Delivery" option.
Is there a minimum spend for free local delivery?
No. We'd obviously be grateful for orders which make delivery worthwhile for us, but there is no minimum spend.
Is Chester not included?
Not at present. We cannot service the surrounding area due to the restricted vehicular traffic to and from the shop on Godstall Lane. We will review this as we get going!
Can I speak to someone?
Always! Use the numbers above during usual opening hours to speak to one of our staff in Heswall or Frodsham.
Is this list of questions ever going to end?
Yes! Right now! But if you have any more, get in touch!
I hope everyone gets the gist of all this ok, and we all hope you stay well and stay safe during these uncertain days ahead. Thank you again for continuing to support us and our incredible staff through these peculiar times.
